I believe you should own your website, regardless of whether you choose to maintain it yourself or hire someone like me. The choice should always be yours.
Standing by these values, I include the following as standard website features.
I use WordPress so you can edit your website easily. For complicated designs, I develop customizations so even the technically-challenged can make updates.
Websites look good on any size device, such as: desk-tops, lap-tops, tablets and smartphones.
Your website is created with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices to raise the level of your site in search engine results.
I add layers of WordPress security to stifle those annoying and destructive hackers.
Backups are essential. I configure automatic backups to meet your needs and give you access (see "Owner's Manual").
I develop on Genesis Framework (by StudioPress) and use their solid themes when appropriate. I customize to meet your site's specific design and functional requirements using programming best practices.
I hold nothing hostage. I give you full ownership and access to your website and all it entails. Your Owner's Manual includes specifications like: user accounts; design elements; themes, plugins and customizations; backups; and, Google Analytics.
I provide a custom user's guide so you can update your own site's content. It includes step-by-step instructions and plenty of visual examples. If you'd like 1:1 training, I'm happy schedule a session with you.
I setup your own Google account with analytics so it can start gathering data from Day One. It's a fantastic way to measure how your site is being visited!
